A contest in every issue                 

We are looking for quality in the writing of either poetry or prose and do not have a preference for any particular genre (kind, category or sort of writing). The main stipulation is that all work must be previously unpublished.

Judges for the Winter 2015 Issue

The Entry Fees are:

$5 for up to 3 poems

$5 for each story (up to 5,000 words)

Brian Purdy

Brian Purdy has been publishing poetry and story for a long time. He was respected as a writing workshop leader in Toronto before moving to become curator of a Visual Arts Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia and selling rare and antique books online. Brian is a previous  Fiction Judge for this zine and previously worked as a Fiction Editor for Big Pond Rumours Zine.

L. M. Falcone

L. M. Falcone worked as a screenwriter for several television series, including “The Littlest Hobo” and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" She is also the author of several spooky mystery series for Young People, including her latest books: The Ghost and Max Monroe and The Midnight Curse.
